Q How does SutureCenter differ from my regular distributor?
A Distributors warehouse, fulfill, and deliver medical products. SutureCenter solely represents client facilities in the purchase of sutures from a distributor.
Q What role does SutureCenter play in my facility’s purchase of sutures?
A SutureCenter communicates the order to the participating distributor, ensures accurate pricing and timely delivery, and makes payment to distributor. 
Q Who is involved in the transaction process?
A SutureCenter accesses and negotiates pricing schedules of its participating GPO, manufacturers and selected distributor(s).
Q I already have a GPO and distributor relationship. Why do I need SutureCenter?
A SutureCenter is able to access manufacturer pricing tiers often unavailable to medical facilities.  SutureCenter has also negotiated, with its participating distributor, modest mark-ups to suture purchases.  Usually, distributors charge greatly marked-up suture pricing for more profit and to drive customers to highly profitable, but poorer quality, private-label product.
Q Without distributor reps, who will answer our questions?
A SutureCenter has customer service reps who will answer questions related to an order and its fulfillment. Technical questions regarding the sutures themselves will be referred to product experts associated with SutureCenter and its supply chain.
Q Since buying sutures in a bundle with other items is a common procedure for my practice, can I do that through SutureCenter as well?
A No, SutureCenter only manages the purchase of sutures as well as certain endo-mechanicals. We do not procure any other items on behalf of our clients.
Q Why must we order through and pay SutureCenter?
A To qualify for certain pricing, manufacturers require that SutureCenter be the financial party responsible to the distributor.
Q What fees does SutureCenter charge?
A SutureCenter charges a Service Fee, which covers shipping (except HI/AK), handling, membership credit card processing, and transaction management. There are no other fees charged.
Q Why do I have to provide a profile and an executed contract?
A These documents enable SutureCenter to achieve compliance with vendors' and manufacturers' requirements.
Q Is there a waiting period before my facility gets the promised pricing?
A For the majority of clients, there is a several day waiting period. However, for those clients who are surgery centers or who purchase more than $5000 in sutures annually, the sign-up activity may take 1 - 3 weeks to complete as manufacturers verify your facility’s eligibility for the relevant pricing tier. 
Q Can my facility get payment terms or do you require credit card payments?
A In most cases, credit cards are the only means of payment. Exceptions exist for credit-worthy Physician Offices and Ambulatory Surgery Centers purchasing more than $25,000 annually in sutures from SutureCenter.
Q How do you handle backorders?
A Where the distributor has specified a future delivery date for a backordered item, SutureCenter shall collect for the item as if it were part of the original delivery.  Otherwise, SutureCenter shall cancel that item from the order and reduce the charge accordingly. Should a facility prefer to wait for a backordered item without a future delivery date, then SutureCenter shall charge for the item as if it were part of the original delivery.  A facility can always cancel the backordered item during the waiting period.  SutureCenter would then refund the appropriate amount to the facility.
Q Why are there a minimum order amount and a maximum order amount?
A The minimum order amount ensures that the distributor will earn enough to justify its fulfillment of the order. The maximum order amount protects SutureCenter from too much financial exposure, especially relating to new clients with which SutureCenter has little or no history of transactions. The maximum order amount is tied to a client’s cumulative balance with SutureCenter. 
Q What is the 10% “Tax Hold” charge on the checkout page?
A SutureCenter authorizes, at order, 10% of the suture cost in case a purchase qualifies for sales tax collected by the distributor. SutureCenter must reimburse the distributor for such charges. In the great majority of purchases, however, there is either no sales tax or the distributor does not have the legal responsibility to collect it. In all such cases, the “Tax Hold” amount would not be included in the final payment amount.
